Visit to Voice Sanjivani (26th/27th July 2015)

Voice Sanjivani, founded by Mr. Victor Bansiwar in Virar East, is a home dedicated to rehabilitating and educating underprivileged girls. Helping Hands visited the home, bringing joy, happiness, and educational support to 34 girls aged 8 to 16 years.

Highlights of the Event

  • A warm welcome with a prayer and cultural performances by the girls.

  • Chinmay Joshi entertained the kids as a joker.

  • Freelance artist Hemant Dhane created a painting of a rural scene.

  • Informative sessions by: Mr. Vijay Dashpute (President, Chemist Parivar NEWS, Virar) on Life Saving and First Aid.

  • Dr. Hemant Joshi (Pediatrician) on fitness and the importance of education.

  • Fun games including Origami, Blow the Balloons, Stick Bindis, and more.

  • A delicious meal was shared by all.

Free Medical Check-up (7th August 2015)

Helping Hands organized a Free Medical Check-up Camp for the girls with the help of:

  • Dr. Vandita Kallianpur & Dr. Yashodhar Mahimkar (Medical experts).

  • Medicines donated by:

    • Bhagwan Kondlekar (Durga Medical).

    • Amol Kondlekar (Sainath Medical).

Vocational training initiatives

  • Helping Hands aimed to enroll girls in vocational courses to support their future:

  • Painting - Conducted by Hemant Dhane (13th August) - 14 girls enrolled

  • Origami & Chocolate Bouquet - Conducted by Foram Shah (16th August) - 5 girls enrolled

  • Tailoring - To be conducted by Padma Gopalkrishnan Iyer - (Upcoming)

  • MS-CIT - Informative session by Sanil Churi for older kids.

  • Beautician Course - To be conducted by Hiteshvi Desai - (Upcoming)

  • The purpose of these courses was to equip the girls with skills and sponsor their education.

Entertainment & Gifts

  • Live music by Jugal Sawdekar & Neeraj Raviya, featuring Bollywood hits like Aashayein, Roobaro, Illahi, and more.

  • Distribution of stationery (pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks) and indoor games.

  • Basic kitchen essentials were donated to the home.

  • A General Knowledge Quiz was held, and winners received token gifts.

Special contributions

  • Victor Sir and his staff were honored for their efforts in running the organization.

  • The girls presented a handmade cake as a vote of thanks.

  • Sponsorships:

  • Graduation sponsorship for four girls.

  • Employment opportunities for two girls.

  • Majithia Masala pledged lifetime free product supply to Voice Sanjivani.
