Support for Students at Saraswati Vidyalaya, Vaitarna (28th July 2013)

Helping Hands took another step forward in 2013 by organizing an event for 66 underprivileged students from 5th to 10th standard at Saraswati Vidyalaya, Vaitarna. This school provides free education from 1st to 7th standard, making it a beacon of hope for many. The aim of this event was to provide students with essential school supplies and an unforgettable day of fun and learning.

Highlights of the Event

  • Welcome Speech:

    • The event began with a speech from the Trustee and Principal, Mr. V.K. Patil.

  • Cultural Performance:

    • The children welcomed the Helping Hands team with a beautiful song.

  • Interactive Session:

    • A fun cross-introduction activity helped the kids open up and interact freely.

Bird Show:

  • Performed by Mr. Govind Dhanwade from the Ishan Hatekar Foundation, keeping the children engaged and excited.

Lunch:

  • A delicious meal of biryani, raita, and gulab jamun was served to all the children.

General Knowledge Quiz:

  • Conducted row-wise to challenge the kids' intellect.

  • Winners were rewarded with stationery items.

Musical Performances:

  • Live Bollywood music performances by Jugal Sawdekar and Neil Raviya.
